September 2026 Retail Metrics:
Furniture daily revenue reached $12,912 in September, up 7% year over year and 5% from August, on traffic that was down 2%. Conversion did the work, climbing to 43.1%, up 9% on last September. Mattress went further: daily revenue more than doubled year over year to $3,857, with conversion at 64.5% and average ticket up 14% to $2,352.
Our post this week is about the beliefs we inherit and never retest. “We need more traffic” is the kind of belief that gets passed down without anyone checking it, and September is a good reason to check.
Flat traffic, higher revenue. Worth asking which of your assumptions the numbers are quietly disagreeing with.
